Think of Mother Nature, Mother Earth. The fresh air she offers, the wide spectrum of beautiful colors, aromas and textures delivered (in different seasons) through flowers, waters, trees, dirt, sand, ocean, the sky. Think about how long her blessings have continued on from generation to generation. Think of the wisdom that must live within her soil and all that grows from it. All of this demonstrates our connection to the perfection of earthly creations, yourself included.
It is through her symbiotic relationship with Father Sun, that all life is born. If this holds true, that her energy flows to us, through us, and from us, it is from her same feminine essence that we can bring life to all that aligns with our soul’s true desires. Staying close to things that hold her perfect vibration can not only uplift our vibration to match hers, but also provides us with generations of wisdom on how to heal the ailing parts of our bodies and spirits. The body is with us to serve as a messenger for our true desires. With that said, Mother Earth has provided all that we need to heal, it is simply our work to tune in to the process.
Aromatherapy is a powerful way to introduce yourself to plant medicine. It works with the limbic system aka the sense of smell, which is the part of the brain that influences emotional response becoming a quick remedy for soothing negative and worrisome thoughts due to anxiety and depression. These benefits are facilitated through the use of essential oils, or concentrated plant matter, by means of diffusing into the air, topical application to the skin, emotional auricular and vitaflex points, and sometimes ingesting, although this method is something we strongly caution at Sacred Juju. We use herbs instead for ingesting plant medicine.
Energetically, essential oils are vibrational tools that assist in elevating the vibration of the user from stress and tension to joy and inner peace. Physically, they can assist with chronic pain and discomfort, and mentally bring about a sense of calm/invigoration and wholeness.
Herbs, another form of plant medicine, have served a long time purpose of bringing healing to the human body and mind through infusions such as tinctures, essences, and herbal teas. Use of plants, in a medicinal tradition, has not only been proven to boost immunity, increase brain function, and improve digestion, it gives us back the charge of healing with nature, from our nature!
Aside from the physical benefits, journeying with plants through meditation offers wisdom and guidance for emotional blocks/past life traumas that have manifested in your outer reality as physical pain; reinforcing our connection with the Ultimate Mother, Earth, and our ability to cultivate our healing desires and so much more!
